Projects

The following projects represent collaborative research and engagement currently underway by SC3 members, their research partners and affiliates.

  • SC09
    The SC Conference is the premier international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. SC3 is coordinating South Carolina's presence at the SC09 International Supercomputing Conference being held November 14-20, 2009 in Portland, OR.
  • SC EPSCoR
    The South Carolina Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research and Institutional Development Awards promotes merit-based federal/state/institutional partnerships designed to build the research infrastructure in South Carolina primarily through funding new hires of top-tier faculty and start-up equipment purchases.
  • SC Marine Genomics Consortium
    The South Carolina Marine Genomics Consortium is a collaborative agreement between the College of Charleston, Clemson University, the Hollings Marine Lab and the Medical University of South Carolina to support the development of a state-wide collaborative marine research program. The consortium provides support in terms of funding, exchange of ideas and opportunities for collaboration for member researchers involved in projects where marine genomics is the fundamental underpinning.
  • SC Sea Grant Consortium
    The South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium is a state agency that, through a program of research, education, extension, and training, enhances economic opportunities and conservation of coastal and marine resources for South Carolina citizens.
  • South Carolina Light Rail
    SCLR is a developing high-speed research network that will connect the members of Health Sciences South Carolina. The group comprises the state's three research universities (the Medical University of South Carolina, the University of South Carolina and Clemson University) along with their hospital partners: Palmetto Health, Greenville Health System and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
  • South Carolina Water Resources Conference
    The 2008 SC Water Resources Conference will provide a statewide forum to discuss current water policies, research projects, and water management.
