What is SC08?

The SC Conference is the premier international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. SC08 marks the 20th anniversary of the first SC Conference, then called Supercomputing, held in Orlando, Florida in 1988.

SC08 will be held in Austin, Texas, November 15-21, 2008 and will feature the latest scientific and technical innovations from around the world. Bringing together scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, programmers, system administrators and managers, the conference will demonstrate how these developments are driving new ideas, new discoveries and new industries.

The SC08 conference will feature trailblazing technical papers, timely tutorials, invited speakers, up-to-the-minute research posters, entertaining panels and thought-provoking Birds-of-a-Feather sessions. In addition, exhibits from industry, academia and government research organizations will demonstrate the latest innovations in computing and networking technology being used to solve problems in nanoscience, biotechnology, climate research, astrophysics, chemistry, fusion research, drug research, homeland defense, nuclear technologies and many other fields.
